I haven't decided what to do with this yet, but as soon as I get a chance, I'll post some of my work.
Off and Running

Just recently, my employer launched an internal beta program for affiliate sales. We're an e-commerce shop to begin with so there's nothing odd about this. We have numerous shareware platforms and two powerhouse platforms for running the most custom online stores you can think of - all over the world. No, I don't work for Yahoo, Amazon or eBay

I joined this beta program merely out of curiousity, but frankly this has turned into a serious passion. Within 30 minutes of signing up, I had a live store with a catalog of around 15,000 products! Where do you start??? Well, first off, the default skin had to go. I actually run two stores, one with everything and one that I'm limiting to just MAC products. I'm a Windows geek, but the MAC people like their own corners of the world. Both stores now have custom themes. The MAC store was entirely created using Photoshop and I contacted Jono of ICandy Junior fame (www.foood.net) and licensed the iCandy icons for use there too. The other site is based off a template I found at TemplateMonster, but nearly everything but parts of the header were custom made. I love digital art.

You can find my stores at the following links and I'll be writing about my experiences as an affiliate as I go. I hope to maybe start a thrid store entirely for designers where I'll feature only design software - very cool. That's all for tonight!
