I haven't decided what to do with this yet, but as soon as I get a chance, I'll post some of my work.
I'm trying to tinker with general plugins tied to objects. When I look at an existing object, I can see the general plugin fields in the object properties dialog, but if I create a new object, these fields do not exist.

I can't figure out why. Any leads would be appreciated - got the latest version installed.

At the bottom of the first object properties page you will see an empty list. Push the Add button. Now select a plugin. After confirmation press configure. Does that help?

There are only about 6 options in that box (not the plugins I want and no way to browse for others). Not only that, (for example) if I select the Stardock Player, (hit okay) the configure button on the previous screen does nothing. It doesn't load any kind of configuration panel.

If I view the properties of older MP3 player objects, those property windows have the "general plugin" fields with a list of like 75 plugins to choose from... there's also a plugin button on the appearance tab. But any new objects I make have either of these...
